Roto Vitamins enables you to take the highly optimised lightweight gearbox from our Roto Direct Drive Extruder and implement this into your own toolhead to improve your print quality. The SLM 3D-printed metal heatsink is replaced with a printed plastic cover which can be completely customised to ease the integration into a variety of machines. This design remainscompatible with our custom Roto filament sensors and toolboards.
Lightweight Yet Full Of Force
The Roto gearbox consists of a planetary initial stage followed by a spur secondary stage and a dual hobb third stage. This combination results in enough extrusion force to fully utiliseour Revo High Flow nozzles' maximum volumetric flow rates while providing a favourable motor stall failure mode.Thanks to the flexibility Roto Vitamins gives the user, it can also be paired with other non E3D HotEnds.
Automatically Tensioned
Roto Vitamins features a simple bi-stable idler mechanism that provides the optimal tension for printing all filaments, andcompletely releases the tension to help with filament unloading and cold pulls. This means you can change the nozzle and release the filament with one hand!
The kit includes a 1mm dowel pin that provides a smooth ramp for the idler clip to slide over, maintaining this functionality while allowing the front cover to be FDM 3D printed.
